I got a message telling me to come here.

We’re sorry. If you bothered coming to this page, you are probably an innocent eMail user who’s eMail has bounced back with a message telling you to come to this site. We’ll try to explain what’s happened.

You sent mail to a destination address. The person who runs the mail server at that address has chosen to utilize the list that we publish. They most likely did this because blocking eMail that originates from servers in our list can significantly reduce the amount of SPAM, that users of their mail server receive.

Please don’t misunderstand; we’re not implying that YOU send spam. The message that you received simply means SOMEONE that uses your mailserver has used it to send SPAM or that your eMail went directly to the recepients eMail server from a Dial-Up Networking pool (modem, DSL or Cable modem connection) without going through a mail server on your end. Which would (should) never be done to send non-SPAM eMail to another user.
How to fix this.

Of course, you want your mail to go through. In order for this to happen, your Internet Provider needs to stop using the eMail server for SPAM (or allowing it to be used for SPAM) or you need to stop sending your eMail directly via a Dial-Up connection to end users or the distination eMail server. You can point them to this page, if you like; there are instructions linked off our front page on what they need to do. As soon as your provider fixes their server and lets us know, your mail will start going through.

If you have any questions regarding your mailserver being listed, contact listed@dnsrbl.com

Please include the EXACT bounce message(s) you received. Just saying ‘my mail isn’t going through’ is not enough to determine anything about the problem/issue.

Also remember that we do not list or deal with eMail addresses or domains, we strictly deal with the IP address of your eMail server(s), so reporting ‘you cannot send eMail to abc.com and you are at xyz.com’ also doesn’t give any useful information.
